Current Position
Research Fellow At the Knowledge Media Institute of the Open Univeristy in Milton keynes, UK. Four years contract started on the 15th of June 2006. Working within the NeOn project (http://www.neon-project.org) on Lifecyle support for Networked Ontologies, in particular on the Watson Semantic Web Gateway, Ontology Modularization, Ontology Matching, Ontology Dynamics and Next Generation Semantic Applications.

Education
2002-2005 PhD. in the Orpailleur team of the LORIA computer science laboratory of Nancy, France. Defended on the 14th of December 2005. Dissertation Topic: A Semantic Portal for Knowledge Management in Oncology.
2001-2002 DEA (5th year degree equivalent to M.Sc.) in computer science at the UHP Nancy 1 University of Nancy, with honours. Dissertation Topic: Knowledge Representation Needs and Multiple Viewpoint Representation for Adaptation in Case-Based Reasoning

Trainnee Supervisions: Supervised several students achieving tranning periods, from several educationnal levels (from 2th to 5th year of studies).
PhD Students Supervisions: Currently co-supervising 3 full-time PhD students at KMi (2 as primary supervisor).


Technical Skills and Competences

Good programming skills with many different languages (Java, Javascript, PHP, C, Lisp, etc.), using object-oriented methodologies (UML, design patterns). Knowledge and experience in database technologies and administrating databases (MySQL, PostgreSL, Oracle).

Competence and experience concerning knowledge engineering technologies, in particular knowledge representation languages (Description Logics, Fuzzy logic, Frame-based representation), ontology editors (Protégé, Oiled, NeOn toolkit) and different reasoning paradigms (classification, rule-based reasoning, case-based reasoning), etc.

Knowledge and experience concerning the Web, Web services and Semantic Web technologies (HTML, XML, CSS, AJAX, RSS, SOAP, WSDL, RDF(S), OWL, C-OWL, SPARQL, Alignment format).
